1. Start with Product Use, Not Fabric Names

The right fabric depends on the product you are making. A fashion bikini, a compression one-piece, a children’s swimsuit, a men’s swim trunk, and a surf-ready sun-protection style all need different fabric behavior. Before comparing nylon and polyester, define how the garment will be worn.

3. Why Spandex Content Matters
