SwimShow Expands Its Footprint with Curve Partnership

SwimShow is set to return to the Miami Beach Convention Center from May 30 through June 1, marking another milestone edition of Miami Swim Week. This year’s event brings a notable expansion: a deepened partnership with Curve, the established intimate apparel trade show, introducing the new Curve Capsule directly onto the SwimShow floor. The integration signals a growing recognition across the industry that the boundaries between swimwear and lingerie categories are increasingly fluid — a shift that carries meaningful implications for designers, retailers, and manufacturers alike.

“SwimShow is dedicated to representing all tiers and categories across the swim and resort wear landscape,” said Judy Stein, executive director of SwimShow. “Our platform has a proud history of collaborating with size-inclusive brands, emerging designers and sustainability pioneers.” The Curve Capsule will feature over 15 heritage lingerie brands making their Miami Beach Convention Center debut, including Chantelle, Elomi, Freya, Fantasia, and Goddess — names that collectively bring decades of expertise in fit, support, and body-inclusive design to the swimwear conversation.

A Strategic Crossover for Buyers and Brands

Raphael Camp, CEO of Comexposium US — which owns and produces Curve — described the initiative as a “synergistic approach fusing the worlds of swim and lingerie” that connects anchor intimate apparel brands directly with retailers whose clientele increasingly expect a mix of product categories under one roof. For buyers attending SwimShow, this means a more efficient sourcing experience: the ability to evaluate wholesale swimwear and complementary lingerie collections in a single trip, reducing travel costs while broadening assortment planning.

From a manufacturing standpoint, the crossover between lingerie and swimwear has been accelerating for several seasons. Both categories demand precision in fit, shared material technologies — such as power mesh, bonded seams, and recycled nylon — and overlapping supply chain considerations. A swimwear manufacturer experienced in OEM and ODM production is often well-positioned to serve brands operating in both spaces, as the technical requirements for underwire construction, multi-panel shaping, and stretch recovery are remarkably similar across categories.

Programming and Emerging Talent

Beyond the Curve Capsule, SwimShow 2026 will feature hundreds of exhibitors presenting their spring and resort 2027 collections, with returning names like Banana Moon, Becca, Body Glove, Cupshe, and Tommy Bahama. The popular SwimTalks series also returns, offering sessions focused on innovation, sustainability, and actionable industry insights. Meanwhile, the SwimLab x WGSN incubator program enters its fifth consecutive year, spotlighting emerging labels — a valuable pipeline indicator for retailers and sourcing partners tracking what is next in resort and swimwear design.

The convergence of intimate apparel and swimwear at a major trade event like SwimShow reflects a broader industry trajectory. As consumer expectations around body inclusivity, technical performance, and sustainable swimwear production continue to rise, the lines between these once-distinct categories will likely blur further. For manufacturers, brands, and buyers preparing their 2027 assortments, the message from Miami is clear: the future of swim is more connected than ever.
